Learn to enjoy Michigan

So I have spent most of my winter complaining about Michigan, and how it's so cold, and nothing to do. I realized that satan is probably loving that! Why would he want me to enjoy where I live?? Anyways so I decided to think about some positive things about the state.
1. You can save your electric bill by shutting off your fridge and just using your car...I do it all of the time. I use the trunk as the freezer because no heat gets there from the inside of the car.
2. You don't have to waste time putting your fall clothes away. You never know when it's going to get in the 70's during the winter.
3. You don't have to pay to ice skate...find a random lake and you're all set.
4.I love having excuses to wear silly hats just to keep me warm. I have one with a ball on the top that not a lot of people are fond of.
5. There is an 85% chance there will be snow on Christmas.
6. We can have winter extreme sports here for the majority of the year...
7. Every snowflake is different. I find that fascinating.
8. A lot of snow days....I'm crossing fingers for that one
9. We are blessed to have the great lakes with good drinking water. Go to Florida and tell me how much you enjoy their water....my dad calls it alligator pee.
10. The summers are perfect...a great mix of warm and hot days...I love the smell in the field behind our house in the summer. Going on walks with my mom is my favorite thing to do.
